Will I servive in Beijing with a lonely planet guidebook ? - lonely planet edinburgh
Me and my friends (girls) in Beijing and Shanghai in March. We will spend 3 + days there. We can not speak Mandarin at all. Lonely Planet is? If not, what would you recommend? If you have any tips and advice for traveling to Beijing PLS also with us?

Yes, of course, you have no problems. Rough Guides, I still prefer. If only three days unable to afford taxis, which is always good, but you have to sign wherever he goes. This is a good time of year to go to thhe because the weather is bad, no extreme winter and summer.

Beijing people are very nice and humble .... Even if the rich are open .....
The Lonely Planet is one of those who travel know much, as is the planet. You have to draw your own conclusions. Arrival in Beijing, you'll see what I mean
Do some research first!
The best advice is, do not need air to breathe, food intake and leave the place as fast as you can!
Some people can speak English. All young people can at least talk a little bit. They may however be used if you try to buy things.
At least I am learning a part of China before arriving there. What travel guide, Lonely Planet is very good.
